I guess this activity is late for me as a lot of people have started their plantita and plantito journeys months ago when the quarantine started.
I just remembered to buy some vegetable seeds when I was browsing Shopee and I saw that there are repacked ones worth less than 20 pesos per vegetable variant. You know the frustration of trying to grow plants from seeds and you wait forever but they don't sprout? That's a bit frustrating especially when you bought expensive seeds. Now the frustration is cut down as the seeds don't cost much.
As for the soil, i'm really not familiar with the kinds so I just bought the garden soil that's already mixed with organic stuff that is said to be suitable for vegetables. Almost all listings for garden soil is per kilo so I bought 3 kilos at 10 pesos each. That's only 30 pesos.
For the pots to use for planting these seeds, we have a lot of ice cream containers and plastic bottles around the house so the cost of this is zero. You can just recycle these items and use them as pots.
For the seeds I bought the following:
Tomato
Eggplant
Okra
Siling Labuyo
Siling Pansigang
Sigarilyas
You can check out the growth process of the seeds below. Take note that this is the first time I'm planting vegetables so I just literally burried them in the soil and watered them. No special process done.
